About VFZ™ Mounts:
VFZ™ is a new theory in the concept of clamping accessories to MIL-STD-1913 rails. Instead of using a horizontal cross-bolt, the VFZ™ uses a vertical bolt that draws up a clamping foot against the lower angle of the rail, seating the mount similarly to a fully-closed LaRue lever. Once installed on the firearm, index marks allow the user to remove the mount, then reattach to the same tension, providing unprecedented return to zero for a non-QD-levered mount. The unique vertical alignment of the clamp allows components that are structurally stronger than traditional cross-bolt designs.

Why should I select VFZ™ Mounts instead of a QD Lever Mount?:
If you intend to leave an optic or accessory on a rail for the life of the rifle, the VFZ™ option is for you. The VFZ™ is intended as a longer-term, semi-permanent mounting alternative to our well-known Speed Levers. While both mounts will allow the user to remove the mount from the weapon, reinstall it in the same position, and return to zero, the VFZ™ mount is intended for users that will not need to constantly remove and install their mounts (especially in the field).

Got it, LOVE it. I constantly travel with my guns which requires dismantling and re...mantling? Being able to do it without tools is like HITTING THE LOTTERY. I have an issue with over-thinking things, which is complicated by my "immediately throwing away directions without reading them" issue. I mounted it, and then started wondering if I had it on backwards. I couldn't find the answer online so I watched a few videos for other products - the levers closed to the rear on all of those, so I was pretty sure I had it right - zeroeing confirmed this, YAY! All the same, would it have killed them to draw an arrow, or a "this side towards enemy" on it?! (yeah, yeah, I know... would it have killed me to read the directions??) :-) GREAT PRODUCT. Even more great when you get tons of fun stuff with it in the mail!

This mount sits proudly atop my humble remington r-25 in .308, but regularly gets removed and placed on guns that we are doing load development on beceause it is 100% reliable. When it goes back on the r-25 it is dead on, unless I put it on the wrong rail notch, but as it turns out that is user error.LOL :) Thank u LaRue u make a fine mount, and you're customer support was dead on reccomending this model to me.

I've used this mount to move an optic between three separate receivers (308WIN, 300BLK, 5.56). Remains sub-MOA repeatable through continuous swaps. Couldn't be happier with the quality. I've only used it from 50-200 yards so far, but expect the 20 MOA to greatly assist with long distances. The locking QD lever is fantastic. Great product.

I have a Leupold Mark 4 that i use on two differant riffles and when you want to switch them just adjust to your predetermined dope and its right on every time. You get what you pay for and in this case you will get every bit.

I use this on my GA Precision .260 Rem AR, and it is a great mount, with 20 MOA built-in. Boringly reliable, repeatable, simple, effective. I've owned a lot of LT-104's, LT-158's, but I like this one the best, since the AR10 has more rail space on the upper, you don't need an extended length mount.

Purchased this for My US Optics LR-17 EREK w/ TPAL scope and MATEN. It is one of the only non-cantilevered, 1-piece QD or non, Scope mounts on the market that fits this optic. There is only 1/8" left between rings and EREK but fits just right. I chose this specific model over the OBR Mount as this had 20MOA rise Built in. The OBR mount has 0 MOA as the OBR rifle has it built into the picatinny rail. My MEGA MATEN Does not. Locks up solid and holds zero as do my other LaRue mounts. Very satisfied! Thanks for the swag as well!

I was curious about the alignment of the rings on mounts where one ring is "higher" than the other (20 MOA). I measured distance from the bottom of the rings to the bottom of the base with calipers, and sure enough I found a 15-20 mic difference (hard to be exact, because the bottom of the ring surface is curved). I then tested ring alignment with my Kokopelli products scope ring alignment and lapping tools (a great product--and the only product I know for any ring size, 1" to 35 mm, or custom, if you like). The rings aligned PERFECTLY, and no lapping was required. So, by my measurements, the mount is set up to function perfectly. I think this is a precision made mount that will work very well. In the future I'll be buying only LaRue mounts.

Solid product and looks to be a life long member of the shooting family at my house. There are lugs built into the bottom of the base that really lock it into the rifle. These lugs to prevent it from being mounted on any rail that is not standard mil-spec. The mount is on par with other top end products and performs very well. This was my first purchase from LaRue and I look forward to visiting the site again soon. Maybe when I run out of dillo dust as they do not sell this on the site. Thanks for making a great product!

This is an extremely well made product. I specifically like the 20 moa built in to this mount and the fact that it is a classic top 1/2 mount so it does not hinder the shooter from easily seeing the elevation dial. This feature does not apply as much to a lot of their other mounts as the application of those mounts would not require dialing elevation. This 20 moa mount would be designed for the sole purpose of having added elevation for dialing thus allowing the clear view of the elevation knob.

As a person would see, 99.99% of the reviews in every item LaRue makes, states the quality is excellent or better quality, and the return to zero is not just a marketing gimmick, it really is a RETURN TO ZERO mount EVERY TIME! For the life of the product, they guarantee it! What more could a shooter want. The price is a non issue really, sure they are a bit more than some others out there, but less than some too. The real point in what I'm getting at is, you can buy cheaper sure, BUT, you will end up buying another one since the first didn't hold or return to zero. Like the man says "Buy once, cry once". For M4 owners adding a red dot, or a scope to their rifles, and shooters with accurate "Sniper" type rifles who need or want to dis-assemble the rifles for transport or because they won't fit in the case all together, the only logical choice is LaRue. Why take a chance with your accuracy and money, buy the right product the first time. LaRue makes QD ring/base combo's, and QD rings for just about every application there is, if you don't know what you should get, call them. LaRue will be ecstatic to help to get you into the right product for your application. If you have a problem at all, call them. You won't find anyone faster at resolving your problem more than satisfactorily than LaRue. Give them and their products a try, not only will you have a manufacturer you can trust forever, they will have a customer for LIFE! Trae

I had only purchased the "standard" model in the past but I needed a quick detach lever mount with 20 MOA of elevation built-in so I purchased the LT-112 for my Nightforce scope. The LT-112 is the same quality (high) as the other mounts. The scope is tight in the rings and the mount is tight on the rifle. I can remove the scope/mount from the rifle and put it back on with little significant change in point of impact. These are high quality products.

This 20 moa mount should get me there, now it is just up to load development and a very calm day. As usual, everything that LaRue does is top shelf and this mount is right in line. Precision is LaRue. I purchased the QD LT112 to mount a Steiner T5xi on a Precision rifle. The scope took exactly 20 Mill up and 0.2 mill windage to zero. Out of the box the scope and mount were as advertised. I don't even question holding zero any more with a LaRue mount. So, rock solid, machined to stated slope, machined so windage adjustment was bullet/barrel specific. This has not been my experience with other "high quality" rings or mounts. So, why not just get what works every time and save decision making time for things that are not predictable.

I did see a few bad reviews about this ring mount so I had some concern. However, this is my first Larue product and I must say it is worth every penny I paid. The machine work looks like it came from Germany and the fit and finnish was well beyond what I expected. I can see why it does not work with some mounts because not all mounts are as well made and have some variances. A junk mount results in an imperfect fit. No way around it. I had an early LMT that was from a batch that had to be returned by Quantico Arms (Hey Walter did make good on it). Ask The Garett's at Northern Virginia Gun Works how many AR's made today need fixing? So to those folks that have complained about this mount try and did deeper in to why it may not work for you. Very pleased with my choice.
