A durable, long-lasting, stiff belt with a Cobra QR buckle that looks as good as it is strong.
This is one tough belt! The Ares Ranger Belt is tough enough for extended use in a field environment and classy enough for khakis when you're out and about. First invented by Ares Gear in 2007, there are now several different manufacturers making inferior copies of this belt, because they don't understand how Ares does things the way that they do.
1" colored webbing stitched to double layers of 1.5" black scuba webbing longitudinally, with black Cobra QR buckle is designed for wear in trousers with smaller (1.5") belt loops.

Features:

Cobra QR buckle
Rigid scuba webbing
Fits average trousers

Sizes Available:  (Note) Ares belts tend to run on the tighter-side. We recommend that you consider ordering a size larger than your normal belt size.

S (30”-36”)
M (32”-38”)
L (34”-40”)
XL (36”-42”)
2XL (38”-44”)

SIZING AND ORDERING YOUR BELT

Question - I wear size 34 pants; what size belt should I order?
Answer - The best way to get an accurate size for the belt you want to order is to measure a belt you currently use. Companies that make jeans and other pants all use their own systems for determining what size a 34 should really be. We believe that our sizes should be exactly what they say they are in inches.

Question - How should I take a proper measurement for my new belt?
Answer - The best measurement you can get will come from a belt that you already own. Load it with the gear that you plan on carrying (even if it isn’t a belt you would normally use for that purpose) and put it on. Take off the belt and lay it out flat then take the measurement in inches from the hole you used to fasten the belt (or the fold, on a rigger-style belt) to the far tip of the buckle. That measurement can be used to place you directly within one of our size ranges (30-36, 32-38, 34-40, etc.). It is important to take into consideration anything you may wear on the belt (IWB or OWB), as this can drastically change the sizing. For example (THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE), Jake wears trousers with a 34" waist, but has to wear a 34-40" belt (thanks to the gun, spare magazine, flashlight, etc.).
Duty Belt, LE (Inner) - Same as a ranger belt.
Duty Belt, LE (Outer) – Measure your current duty belt or if necessary over top of your current inner/ranger belt. Make sure to take into account the gear that you plan on loading onto this belt – we recommend that this belt be sized at least 4” larger than a belt you plan to wear through your belt loops.
Duty Belt, MIL – Designed to fit inside a padded warbelt. Measure necessary circumference through that belt.

Colors:

Black
Coyote
Urban Gray

Great belt but they really run on the small side. I'd order at least one size and possibly two sizes larger than you need. Very high quality item. Certainly capable of supporting massive weight and shock and is very simple to use. The buckle can be undone instantly and is very rigid vertically.

This product is a great gun belt. If you know what size gun belt you wear the sizing is dead on. Most people that order and feel it is too small didn't have a correctly fitting belt. The materials are top notch and as a leather belt snob this product is quickly becoming my go to belt. Like all products Larue Tactical sells this belt is the best.

In the past, I've used a leather & internally reinforced Kydex Aker belt. While it was stiff enough, any traditional "hole & pin/buckle" type belt always seemed to be just a little too tight or a little too loose. With the Ares Ranger Belt, sizing is perfect every time, regardless of the EDC holster & gear carried. Works great from a Ruger LCP in a leather OWB to a Glock 19 in a Kydex IWB. Also fits and looks great with jeans or work Khakis. Thanks to Larue for having it "in stock" (no 4 weeks lead-time) and for their expedient shipping and complimentary: DVD, "Dillo Dust", Bottle Opener, copy of the U.S. Constitution, and two bumper stickers!

This belt with a quality holster makes anyone able to carry that gun that they may have previously thought too heavy. Loved it so much I bought a second for duty belt as a firefighter. Takes the weight of my radio and other stuff like a champ.

Follow the instructions for sizing on Ares Gear's site and rest assured it will fit as long as you are careful not to order too much belt. The quality of this belt is unrivaled and I plan to purchase a few more in other colors. In the box with my belt, I also found a 'Dillo Beverage Entry Tool and 'Dillo Dust. For those of you who aren't aware, the 'Dillo is the coolest bottle opener you never knew you needed.

Much thanks to the Larue Team and the extra "goodies" they threw in for free....love the Dillo Beverage Entry Tool (I'm now prepared for responsible beverage battles) and the Dillo Dust (it was great on babyback ribs)!!

This belt is exactly as hyped. I read and read and then read some more forums and other reviews before buying my non-leather gun belt. I could not locate the Ares belts at any local stores for me to physically handle prior to purchase. Of all the choices on-line, for me the deciding factor came down to the Ares being the original maker and innovator. I did research the enhanced version as well and was hesitant to buy the Ares Ranger Enhanced as I didn't want too thick of a belt. I believe I have made the correct purchase as the Ares Ranger original belt is plenty thick and supportive. I'm not a tacti junky so perhaps there is value in a more stiff belt application such as the enhanced version, but I can't ever see myself needing a thicker or more stiff belt in my day to day carry life-style. As for the service from Larue it all went off without a hitch. I requested overnight delivery and sure enough it showed up on my door step by 10:30AM the next day. Yes, I will recommend both product and store.

I've worn this belt for a year now and with a full size CZ SP-01 tactical with a Streamlight TLR-2 custom IWB leather holster which makes for a heavy rig. This belt can handle the weight. The female side of the cobra buckle has worn due to the perfect height for a sink to rub against, but I always wear a shirt untucked for concealment so it doesn't show. I bought extra coyote elastic loops and use 2 one on each side of the right belt loop so it holds the slack of the thinner webbing. La Rue shipped it quickly and was surprised with the goodies they included. I still have the beverage opener on my key chain which can double as a self defense single knuckle device. That tail would do some damage.

With the Ranger Belt it's hard to actually tell that you're carrying at all. Just for people that need an idea; I'm carrying a glock 19 in an owb kydex holster, a two mag kydex holster and usually my sog multitool. Even by itself it is a very comfortable belt. This is a great looking belt and just purchased the newer one because I have lost weight and don't need the bigger size. These belts make a great belt for carrying a side arm, and they look great too as I am always getting asked about where I purchased this belt from. They offer quick shipping and they give you a couple of free items when you order from them. The rub and the opener I love. The rub gets used every week and so does the opener. Thanks LaRue for making such a great belt. I think you should order 1 size bigger to accommodate carrying a sidearm. The quality of workmanship is absolutely awesome and I have never ever had any issues to report with these belts. Go ahead and order you this excellent belt - you will not be sorry that you did.

Relatively expensive, high quality, and reliable duty belt. Offers high strength, positive reinforcement, and fits normal jeans/pants (not range pants specific). The stiffness ensures reliability when carrying multiple tools on the belt, such as a pistol, spare magazines, flashlight, knife, and/or multitool. The design minimizes (nearly mitigates) undesired movement of said tools carried on the belt. The thickness of the belt is good. It is slim enough to allow most, if not all, holster attachments; I have used several such as G-Code, Comtac, Bravo Concealment, and Crossbreed. It is also thick enough to allow for positive reinforcement on said holsters. The Cobra buckle allows for both a quick option to loosen the belt and the ability to tighten down the pressure. Note, the finish on the Cobra will wear over time with use. Investing into an Ares belt is a wise choice, as it effectively delivers what it is designed to deliver while lasting a long time. I have worn my Ares belt every day at my office job, socially, and to the outdoor shooting range while the belt is equipped with a firearm holster, spare magazine carrier, and a flashlight for almost 4 years and it has only shown aesthetic wear; no wear to its functionality.

If you are looking for a great looking, functional, top quality duty/everyday carry belt, look no further. I recently decided to try this belt for my everyday carry and concealed carry needs. The quality of workmanship is absolutely amazing. The belt has the right amount of stiffness to support daily carry needs, such as pouches, lights, carabiners etc. It is also a great platform for concealed carry or range applications. I can support a full size sidearm and magazines without bending or folding. I have traditionally used other mil spec web belts that provide the adjustable waist that I would look for when adding a holster or other gear. However they would always fall short when it came to supporting the gear properly. Leather gun belts are great, but they don't offer the custom sizing that an adjustable belt can, the hole locations are usually too loose or too tight. This is by no means a rigger's or instructor's belt. It is low profile enough that it doesn't scream "I'm tactical, check out my gun!" It is just a very sturdy, well made belt that goes great with jeans or BDU/cargo pants. My only area of concern, as with many, is the process to run the belt through your belt loops. The Cobra buckle is too large to fit through most loops, so you must remove it and then reattach once the fabric is where you need it. This process maybe takes another 30-45 seconds, so I don't consider it a big deal. I would also pay attention to the sizing, you may need larger than you normally wear if you plan to use it for concealed carry IWB. Finally, LaRue Tactical is the place to buy this belt. The pricing is lower than most competitors and they offer amazing service and order fulfillment. Not to mention the great SWAG included with the order, such as the B.E.T. (Beverage Entry Tool) and the Dillo Dust, which is great on all sorts of meat. Overall this is a great experience and I will look at adding more colors and models to my collection as they become available.

I love this belt, well built and the Cobra QR buckle sells it, comfortable and stiff, well worth the money. La Rue's service was great, fast and on time plus the added goodies are a nice touch, others could learn from there service and attention. I've gone back and order more from them so looking forward to my next few deliveries..

I've only had my belt a couple days. I ordered one and it was the wrong size so I sent it back. I had to pay shipping to send it back 6 miles from my physical address in which was a negative. Once I shipped it back they quickly resent it back to me. I recieved it back within a week. Now that I have the correct size belt I can tell a big difference in my Concieled Carry with my IWB holsters. If you're looking for a nice belt that you can wear daily this is the route to go. It durable and will last you a lot longer than your typical daily belts.

Love the belt. Only had it a few days. What a difference between no belt and the cheap leather belt I had before! LaRue Tactical was great. Quick shipping and no issues.

I've always used 5.11 gear until recently. This belt outperforms my others by a far. Even with its smaller width its far more superior than other brands heavy duty belt. Others have made comments about the buckle being a hassle. Leave it attached.. run the other half of the belt through the loops. Once you have the belt tight to your preference all you need to do is release the buckle. I carry both IWB and OWB as well. The belt works flawlessly and just ordered a second for the hell of it. I do recommend going up 1size just to be safe.

Great handsome, durable, practical belt. The buckle is entertaining, although it can be a little difficult to negotiate the belt loops in some pants.

This belt changes the whole concept of "carrying". I was struggling with all the previous belts that i have owned. The previous belts would stretch, flex and did not support the weight of the holstered firearm. I carry an xdm .40 w/ 3.8" barrel and 17 rounds of 185gr hp rounds, there's no issues at all. I highly recommend Larue Tactical. They really surprised me with this order. They added Dillo dust (delicious), 3 pocket sized U.S. constitutions, 2 bad a$$ bumper sticker, a bottle opener. I have ordered from many firearm/tactical retailers and none of them include additional goods like Larue Tactical.

Great product. I'll never own a belt with the traditional hole and pin again. Looks great too. Super fast delivery from Larue once again with all the swag. Now the girlfriend has her own Beverage Entry Tool.
