Excellent front sight. I bought this sight for my LaRue carbine. Workmanship looks great, great sight picture and great price. I have not used the sight yet, but looking forward to the day I take it to the range to run some drills. I gave it four armadillos instead of five because I have not used it yet. I do expect the excellent construction to hold up for many years of use.

As a proud owner of many pri products over the years I was a bit surprised when I received a front sight that the post was off center by at least .050”. I contacted larue and received a replacement at no charge to myself before I shipped the first back. The customer service provided was excellent and timely. When I received the second sight it also had an off center post. Contacted customer service and they got me another form and said they would take them both but if I wanted a replacement I would have to contact PRI. I have a critical eye, it’s how I shoot the way I do, build things as straight as I do. I have owned quite a few PRI products and never had a crooked anything previously. Impressive customer service for an unfortunately defective product that larue itself did not produce... it will keep me as a customer as I find this a rare concept in the more recent years especially. Thank you! 2 dillo for sights I received, 4 if it was an fine example. 5 for the customer service. It’s made of 6061, wish it was 7075 or 17-4p. The hood it rather thin as far as a side profile and the mounting system could be better. I love circular hooded front sights, just couldn’t stomach looking at an off center post in my sight picture. I guess I need to get into the sight making business...

Well made front sight with good fit-and-finish. I like the use of a allen-head bolt for attachment (no bulky. gunky oversized knob). The finish is quite acceptable—nothing fancy, just matte-black. The full-round hood on the sight has a cut or notch to allow the use of a standard sight-adjustment tool.
The full-round (or Ring) sight aids in rapid sight acquisition and proper sight picture alignment due to the subconscious ability of human vision to be able to rapidly and repeatedly align circular objects.
Put the front sight pin just below the target point-of-aim, align the ring front with the hole in the rear sight and there you are.

Once on stays in place. Target acquisition is fast and easy. I mostly just aligned the circle from from rear and front sights( poor lighting)
And could cover a quarter at 25 yarfds.

I always use fixed sights on my SBR's when running a CQ optic, which for me is are EOTechs. Initially, I used Daniel Defense fixed sights because they were readily available and well, more common place. Then I ran into Precision Reflex or PRI because I just wasn't feeling the DD sights. Sure they are standard M4 style, which I was already used to as a soldier, but I wanted to try something different. I ordered a set of their fixed sights for my 10.3 and I haven't looked back since. Particularly their front sight. The rear sight is fine, easy to adjust, but the front sight is what trips my trigger. I like it because it fits right around the 65 MOA ring of my EOTech. I like absolute witness, so whether I'm using my optic, or switching to irons, it seems one in the same to me. Also, when I use the irons alone, I find that my acquisition is a little faster. There's just something about that circular front sight that my eye really makes a fast acquisition with. Maybe because our eyes are round or our pupils are round. I read some kind of study on that, but it was pertaining to HK style sights, but these PRI are a step better. I know because I've used Troy's HK style sight, and again my eye is quicker to acquire with this PRI front sight. The perfect combination for me, is to put LaRue's fixed rear sight and this PRI front sight together. They actually sell that as a pair, although I didn't get my that exact way - I can tell you that is is flat out a winner winner chicken dinner. Add to that my EOTech, which no one loves anymore except me and Steve, and I have a sight setup that is just fast. Fast, fast, fast and faster the more I train. The quality is outstanding in typical PRI style. I think the fact that Mr. LaRue sells PRI sights is all the validation they need. He wouldn't sell them if they were not completely legit.
